The farm of the Oofuchi brothers is beautifully situated against the hills surrounded by many mudponds. The most important supplies are housed in the basins of the chalet and in the Koi house which is present on the site. In addition, a few kilometers from the farm there is a new Koi house with high quality Koi. As soon as you visit a Koi house, you will quickly notice the large amounts of oyster shells that are used in the filtering.

These oyster shells are for bringing the KH value of the water to a good level, because the mountain water is quite soft. The acidic water reacts in the shells to form calcium carbonate and release it into the water. Oofuchi has become well known for the cultivation of high quality Shusui`s.

You will also find the rare gee variant of the regular Shusui on this Farm. Shusui, kohaku, sanke, kujaku, hariwake, ochiba shigure and shiro utsuri are also grown there.
