With the founding year 1984, Hoshikin Koi Farm is a fairly new face within the koi world. In 1998, the farm became world famous by winning the Grand Champion at Japan's most important koi show with a fabulous kohaku. Hoshikin's kohaku are widely known and often grow very large.

Tosai regularly tap the 35 centimeters and the potency appears to be above 90 centimeters more than once. The snow-white skin also makes koi lovers salivate. Hoshikin is also known for the fact that his koi can take a beating.
