Kawakami Koi Farm is a household name in Niigata and was founded in 1920. It is one of the first koi farms that decided to sell koi abroad. Its own distribution channel was, and still is, used for years by several other farms to ship koi. The quality is variable, but generally good. That also applies to the prices.
