Murata

Murata Koi Farm is famous for its kohaku and is located just outside the main hustle and bustle of Niigata. The kohaku that owner Sinji Murata grows are of amazing quality and win major prizes almost every year.

This is really a must-visit place, especially because you can often buy a kohaku here for a relatively good price of a quality where you might pay twice as much elsewhere. Nevertheless, Murata is not very well known in the world and that is actually completely unjustified.
