Nagashima

Mainly known for breeding Showa and Shiro Utsuri, with a few other varieties made each year Nagashima-san is a second generation ko breeder, and has koi houses in Mushigame with a new house in Takezawa. Nagashima san´s Showa are bred using Momotaro Shiro Showa bloodline females and his own male parent koi.

Tamotsu Nagashima, one of the few Koi hunters in Japan and perhaps one of the few to pick out a Grand Champion with both eyes closed. Tamotsu Nagashima is a phenomenon in Japan!
In the past, Mr. Nagashima mainly Showa, Shiro-Utsuri and Ginrin Showa, but became very popular by buying koi from other breeders and having them developed to perfection. So perfect that it resulted in the All Japan Nishikigoi Grand Champion in 1998. Since then, Nagashima has been a full-time buyer and seller of koi.

During the fall, Nagashima moves from breeder to breeder, buying fish that just come from the mudponds. In the winter he prepares the fish for the many shows and in the spring there are the public sales. during the summer period, the fish require a great deal of attention and care, both in our own business and at home with customers.
