Suzuki Koi Farm is officially called Suzujyu Koi Farm, but hardly anyone calls this nursery in Ojiya that way. Although the farm has gigantic mud ponds, relatively few fish are bred, making it often difficult to obtain a good specimen.

If you succeed, you often immediately have a special fish that you will keep for life. Suzuki's doitsu varieties are famous because, unlike other growers, they rarely develop a potbelly. It is also nice to see how breeder Shigeo Suzuki treats his fish: very lovingly and with a lot of attention.
