Yagenji Koi Farm's karashigoi are known all over the world. These yellow giants regularly exceed the meter and have a fantastic body, but don't rule out the shiro utsuri from this farm, because they are also of top quality. Brothers Daisuke and Toshinori Yagenji took over the farm from their father in 2002 and two years later were hit by the devastating earthquake that destroyed nearly all of their koi houses.

More than 11,000 fish did not survive the disaster and only a year and a half later all damage was repaired. Yagenji is now again regarded as an absolute top nursery with good quality fish. The karashigoi and shiro utsuri stand out, but don't rule out the showa, sanke and kohaku either.
